Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what data Hirilondë collects in the Reps iOS app and on hirilonde.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email reps@hirilonde.com.

Who we are

Hirilondë is a technology company based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Reps is an iOS application published by Hirilondë. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Hirilondë. “You” refers to the person using Reps or browsing hirilonde.com.

What we collect in the Reps app

Reps collects only what it needs to log your workouts and keep them synced to your account. Specifically:

  • 01Account info. When you sign in, we receive your email address and a unique user ID from your chosen provider (email + password, Sign in with Apple, or Google). If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a relay email that forwards to your real address; we only ever see the relay.
  • 02Workout data you enter. Exercises, sets, reps, weights, RPE, notes, templates, personal records, and app settings. This data is tied to your account and synced across your devices.
  • 03HealthKit data (read-only, on-device). With your permission, Reps reads sleep, body mass, walking and cycling distance, resting heart rate, active energy, and workouts from Apple Health to show next to your training. This data is notuploaded to our servers and never leaves your device. You can revoke this permission at any time from Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

What we do not collect

Reps does not include analytics, advertising, crash reporting through third parties, or performance-monitoring SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no App Tracking Transparency prompt because we have nothing to ask for. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

How we use your data

We use your account info and workout data to operate Reps: to let you sign in, sync your workouts across your devices, show you your history and personal records, and support the account if you ask us to. We do not use your data for advertising or for training AI models.

Where your data is stored

Account and workout data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which runs on Google Cloud infrastructure. Firebase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. The Firestore region is set to the United States.

If you sign in with Google, your sign-in request passes through Google's sign-in SDK. If you sign in with Apple, it passes through Apple's authentication service. Each of those providers has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle your credentials.

HealthKit specifics

As required by Apple's HealthKit privacy policy: data obtained through the HealthKit API is not shared with third parties, is not used for advertising or similar services, and is not stored in iCloud or any third-party cloud by us. It stays on your device. Reps writes completed workouts (and, optionally, body mass entries) back to Apple Health only if you grant that permission.

The hirilonde.com website

The website does not use analytics, cookies, or third-party trackers. Fonts are served from our own origin (not a font CDN). Contact and invite-request forms compose an email in your mail client — nothing is submitted to a server we control. If you email us directly, we store that message in our email provider for as long as we need it to respond.

Your rights

You can:

  • See your data inside the Reps app.
  • Ask for a copy of your data by emailing reps@hirilonde.com.
  • Delete your account from inside the app, or by emailing us. Account deletion removes your Firestore data and your authentication record.
  • Revoke HealthKit permission at any time from iOS Settings.
  • If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you also have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or delete data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Data retention

We keep your account and workout data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete the corresponding Firestore documents and authentication record. Some information may remain in backups for up to 30 days before being purged.

Children

Reps is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data to us, email reps@hirilonde.com and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the “last updated” date. For significant changes that affect existing users, we'll also notify you inside the app or by email.
